About the Atelier
DESIGN LED FLORALS, ROOTED IN SEASONALITY, CREATED WITH INTENTION.
Based in the Greater Edmonton Area, Thacker & Rue Floral Atelier was founded on the belief that flowers have the ability to transform a space, elevate an occasion and bring beauty to everyday life.
Our work is guided by seasonality, natural movement and an appreciation for the individual character of each flower. From everyday arrangements and floral subscriptions to events and workshops, each design is approached with consideration for colour, proportion, texture and placement.
Behind the Atelier
Thacker & Rue was founded by Jody Veltri in 2025, shaped by a lifelong appreciation for flowers, beautiful spaces and the details that make everyday life feel considered. With a background in interiors and construction, and years spent travelling and gathering inspiration along the way, Jody has always been drawn to the way colour, texture and thoughtful design can impact people and shape how a space feels. Flowers became a natural extension of that but also something much more personal.
For Jody, flowers have never been simply decorative. They have been part of welcoming people into her home, celebrating the people she loves, acknowledging important moments and at times, finding beauty during seasons of profound loss.
It was through those experiences that flowers took on greater meaning and, ultimately, gave Jody the inspiration to pursue a creative path she had been drawn to for years. Thacker & Rue grew from a decision: to create something beautiful and build a life centred around creativity, connection and giving.
Today, that philosophy continues to shape the atelier. Designs are led by the flowers themselves- their natural movement, colour, texture and season, rather than forcing them into something they were never meant to be.
Whether designing for an individual, a home, a business or an occasion, the intention is simple: to make flowers feel personal and worthy of the moment they are part of.
In Dedication
Thacker & Rue is dedicated to the memory of my brother, whose life and loss became part of the quiet inspiration to pursue a path that had long been waiting.
